Rachel
OWNER
I started my floral journey after taking a leisurely workshop class. This class awakened a love for flowers deep within my soul. I often say that flowers found me and I truly feel I was simply destined to do this. Every day I get to work with florals my love and understanding of flowers, design, and running a business grows deeper. I find a sense of purpose, passion, inner peace, and joy through working with flowers. Having the honor of being able to share this love and joy with others on their most special days is the greatest joy. I often have to pinch myself that this is my job and that I have such an incredible team surrounding me. When I'm not working with flowers you can find me cuddling with my two cavalier King Charles spaniel pups, binge-watching my favorite TV shows, or diving into anything creative. And yes I’ll most likely have a Diet Coke in hand!

As Rachel’s sister, I have been there every step of the way, from her first event 8 years ago until now. I received my art degree from CSULB and I am so happy that I get to apply so many of the skills I learned to floral design and creating art through this medium. My favorite part of the design process is large-scale installations.

I have been involved in the floral industry for over 20 years. From my first job in a flower shop to working on the wholesale side of the business, my experience in floral is vast. What I find most rewarding in this role is the opportunity to work with an array of beautiful color palettes and blooms, each wedding bringing its own unique charm.

When I married my wife, I wholeheartedly embraced her floral passion and became a driving force behind our blossoming business. Dubbed the "Certified Zip Tie Technician," I take charge of many of the physically demanding tasks, meticulously organizing the technical aspects of weddings.

I first encountered my love for floral design during a high school floral class. From that point forward, my journey in the world of flowers led me through various flower shops, until I crossed paths with Rachel. Working here has provided me with the perfect canvas to express my creativity on a daily basis.

I began my journey in the wedding industry when I worked as an assistant wedding designer and coordinator. I realized that floral design was where my passion lied. I began a freelance journey to gain more knowledge in the industry, while attending and completing my degree at UCLA. I found my forever flower home at Joy of Bloom Florals and couldn't be happier.
